Elle Women in Hollywood Celebration a vu le meilleur de Hollywood dans une série de looks de showstopping du Ralph Lauren.
Last night, the 2024 ELLE Women in Hollywood event honoured nine extraordinary women whose creative and cultural contributions have shaped the worlds of film, television, music, and beyond. Danielle Deadwyler, Karla Sofía Gascón, Selena Gomez, Mikey Madison, Demi Moore, Julianne Moore, Saoirse Ronan, Zoe Saldana, and Tilda Swinton were celebrated by ELLE Editor-in-Chief Nina Garcia in a glamorous ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.
The evening brought Hollywood’s finest to the forefront, including a series of showstopping looks from the Ralph Lauren Collection. Here’s a closer look at those, with more fabulous fashion to follow.
Cream Dreams Come True
Mikey Madison embraced a delicate cream layered organza Ralph Lauren Collection gown that radiated ethereal beauty. It’s one of those shades that, on paper, could wash you out, but instead, it enhanced her complexion perfectly. The gown’s fluidity was mesmerizing, though I’ll politely pretend the yellow bag never happened.
Festive but Not Fussy
Marking her soft return to Hollywood ahead of her upcoming Netflix film ‘Back in Action’, Cameron Diaz dazzled in a Ralph Lauren Collection ensemble with a sparkling top that was perfect for the season. It’s a low-key but chic reintroduction.
Silk Skirt Success, Turtleneck Tumble
Ralph Lauren Collection’s signature silk maxi skirt is always a win, but Charlotte Lawrence’s choice to pair it with a turtleneck felt too casual for the occasion. A more elevated top could’ve taken this look further.
Too Much of a Good Thing?
Colman Domingo is usually sartorially flawless, but this Ralph Lauren Collection Prince of Wales jacket, blue ombre trousers, and monogrammed velvet slippers ensemble felt overly busy. Each piece on its own could’ve been striking, but together they competed for attention.
Gold Rush Redemption
After a lackluster appearance at the Governors Awards, Demi Moore redeemed herself in a Ralph Lauren Collection gold-tiled ombre gown that was both glamorous and event-appropriate. A simpler hairstyle would’ve elevated the look even further, but as you know, Demi will Demi.
All that glitters isn’t gold
The material of this Ralph Lauren Collection dress is beautiful, but I am not getting dazzled by the shimmer, because I don’t think this is flattering on Eva Longoria at all.
Velvet Victory
Joshua Jackson made a case for black-on-black velvet in Ralph Lauren Collection. Though he somewhat blended into the black carpet and the step-and-repeat, his look remained swoon-worthy and timeless.
What Lies Beneath
Leila George’s Ralph Lauren dress was intriguing, but I couldn’t help but wonder if the knit layer overshadowed what might’ve been a more exciting silhouette underneath.
Aging…Again
I feel like I need to copy and paste my last comments on Selena Gomez and add it here because once again, Selena opted for a look that aged her unnecessarily.
Blazer On, Power On
For Xochitl Gomez, the question of “blazer on or off” was quickly answered: blazer on. With it, her Ralph Lauren Collection look exuded strong Le Smoking vibes; without it, the outfit felt gimmicky.
Stay tuned for more from this event.
